The primary components of the steel waler formwork system are as follows:
- Walers: They are horizontal beams of steel mounted on the formwork. Actually, they support the formwork by spreading the pressure exerted by the wet concrete over the formwork evenly.
- Bracing: The side or raking steel braces provide additional support to resist any lateral movement.
- Form Panels: The panels are the surfaces against which concrete is poured, supported by the walers and held in place by other elements within the formwork system.
