Material properties

The filling of the gravel filter is a sophisticated and complex process that requires a lot of time and experience. After a drying time of around 24 hours, the gravel filter is firmly connected to the filter. However, the finished gravel filter is still susceptible to impacts. For this reason, we pack the gravel filters in specially made wooden crates to ensure that they arrive safely.

  • The use of our gravel filter is useful wherever, for example, the introduction of gravel filling is difficult or impossible due to small drilling diameters.
  • The gravel casing provides the gravel filter with a clearly defined gravel coating. Direct contact between the filter and the borehole wall is therefore impossible.
  • We have optimized our recipe for the various components over many years so that the filter permeability is comparable to that of a PVC filter. There are even studies that show that the permeability of a gravel filter is slightly better than that of a normal PVC filter due to the improved flow behavior.
