In order to achieve the full potential of the tightness of the ABDI pipes, it is important to ensure that the threaded connection is absolutely clean during installation. Even small particles of dirt in the connection or on the O-rings can have a negative impact on the tightness. For this reason, the tightness of the ABDI connection cannot be quantified.
However, independent tests have shown that the ABDI connection is water pressure tight when fully screwed and the threads are clean.
The ABDI threaded connection consists of a double socket and two integrated seals. This means that this connection achieves a very high level of tightness. The permanent integration of the sealing rings into the connection makes the ABDI pipes easy to install on site.
The thicker walls of the ABDI pipes also ensure high stability.
