Stop Log Hoist
A single or double track monorail hoisting trolley used to handle upstream or downstream maintenance stop logs to isolate gates for service purposes. The stop log hoist is normally provided with a submersible stop log lifting beam equipped with automatic latching hooks and a release mechanism operable from the surface.
Stop log hoists are normally designed to handle the extreme load conditions generated by motor stall torque in case of dynamic asymmetrical jamming of the gate in the embedded guides. Stop log hoists should also be able to allow the controlled descent of the stoplogs in case of power failure mechanism.
