• The Slurry Submersible Pump with water jet ring is a high efficiency and universal pumping solution made for dealing with abrasion and high-concentration slurry and mud. With the special water jet ring equipment, this Heavy-Duty Submersible Slurry Pump with Jet Assist Cooling strengthen the fluidization of solid, enabling the quick transport for heavy objects.

• The top pressure water jet ring equipment can be custom-made and installed on your submersible dredge pump, connected with high-pressure water pump.

• Hydroman® can either supply you with all the top pressure slurry pump set which include a water jet ring frame, a electric centrifugal top pressure pump, suction pipe with bottom valve and outlet pipe.

How to Prevent Submersible Slurry Pump Overheating

First of all: keep enought liquid level and make sure adequate cooling:
• Underwater
  Slurry submersible pumps are cooled by the around liquid, therefore make sure the slurry pump is completely submerged.

• Low Liquid Level Safeguard
  Installed a low liquid level switch to automatic shutoff the pump when the liquid is lower to prohibit its dry rotation and overheat operation.

• Cooling Jacket
  For large change of liquid level projects, please give priority to use cooling jackets which can wrap the motor housing with coolant liquid, the motor can continously run even it is not submerged completely.

Secondly, maintance and clean regularly
• Check Blockage
  Reguarly check if any blockages or debris in the pump or inlet, for the blockages or debris will limit flow and generate overheat.

• Clean Filter and Impeller
  Reguarly clean or change the filter or impeller, for the dirty parts will limit the flow and increase the working load result to overheating.

• Inspect Electric System
  Reguarly inspect if the slurry pumps' electrical connection and wire loose or damaged which can cause overheat or electric breakdown.

• Inspect Thermostat
  Make sure the thermostat work well and do not set higher temperature which may lead to overheating.

• Inspect Cooling System
  Ensure the colling systemn work well and no leakage.

Thirdly, Prevent Overloading and Ensure Correct Operate
• Avoid long time overloading
  Limti the submersible pump's starting frenquency to avoid the motor overloading long time.

• Adjust Rotate Speed
  IF the enviroment is overflow or the fuild concentration is higher, please reduce the rotate speed of the Industrial Submersible Pump to decrease its load.

• Ensure Good Ventilate
  Make sure the ventilation system of the Best Submersible Pumps with Jet Ring for Mud Removal is good, or ti will cause the temperature rise unusual.

• Inspection for Blockage
  Enusre there is no blockages in the pump or pipe to prevent the  Submersible Slurry Pump overheating.

• Inspect the Pump Casing Connection with Motor
  IF connect loosen or seal damaged will cause the liquid leakage of the pump casing result to overheating, so we should tight the connection to make sure the good sealing.

Fourthly, Monitoring Voltage and Elctric System

• Voltage Fluctuation
  Ensure the voltage fluctuation is in the pump's rated range to prevent the motor overheating.

• External Overcurrent Protection
  IF inspect overheat, consider to shut down the pump by external overcurrent protection set which provide extra safety.

• Check Wiring Fault
  Check if the wire is damaged or loosen, it will cause overheating or electric fault.

Finally, Other Instructions

• Slurry Density
  Ensure the slurry is completely mixed to avoid too thick which will increse the pump's load and lead to overheating. 

• Suitable Suction Pipe
  Using a large suction pipe is maxiumlly decreasing resistance and ensure the slurry flow high effectively.

• Check the Sealing Ring Abrasion
  If the sealing ring of subermerged pump is wearing, it will lead to overheat for shaft adhesion. Please replace the sealing ring and add strong lubrication.

• Inspect the Motor Quality
  The pump will overheat due to bad quality of the motore, please using the Hydroman® high quality motors.

• Inspect Packing Issues
  The over tight of hte pump packing will lead to dry run and overheating. Loosen the packing to decrease the pressure.

• Change the Thrust Bearing Direction
  According to the instructions to change the thrust bearing's direction will solve the overheating problems.
