Heat pumps for cooling
When heat pumps are discussed, their strengths as an environmentally friendly heating alternative are usually emphasized. But heat pumps can do more than just heat. They can also be used to cool houses in summer. A distinction is made between passive and active cooling.
Financial support
The installation of heat pumps is subsidized by the state . Subsidies are also available for the installation of split heat pumps, which heat and cool sustainably, as part of the Federal Funding for Efficient Buildings (BEG).
