Unifil - founded in 1978
Unifil Filtertechnik AG was founded in 1978 by the owner Werner Frei. In 1980, after two years of just reselling products, the company started to produce its own air filters in Niederlenz, Aargau. Today, the company has 20`000 m2 of office, production and storage facilities at its disposal, provides work for 135 employees and regularly trains apprentices.

Pathbreaking developments
In 1986, the first important development for the company was the launching in the Swiss market of fine dust filters which used synthetic fibres instead of the glass fibres employed up to then. In 1992 and for the first time in the filter business, an ecobalance was carried out on filter frames by an external specialist team. In 1999, Unifil wrote a further chapter in the history of filter technology: The use of the new and worldwide unique technology of "partial distance mounting", which allows the especially careful and precise manufacture of high-quality filters for material in suspension in the filter classes E10 to U17 according to EN 1822. In 2008 Unifil did launch with SynaWave a further innovation: A fine dust pocket filter of synthetic media in a wave like form and low pressure drops

Unifil wants to remain the leading Swiss provider of universal filter technology. In order to fulfil the very heterogeneous needs of its customers at all times, Unifil aims to produce appropriate filters that meet every dimensional need, in every fineness (quality) and that meet the requirements of every application. Experienced specialists have access to laboratory equipment that enables them to meet all requirements, be it in the clarification of customer questions or the development and testing of new products.

Unifil’s products stand for quality, reliability and technical progress. The entire range of products is manufactured using the most modern machines and process-engineering methods available as well as in time-consuming handwork in Unifil’s own facilities. As a result, customers can profit from products made to specification, short delivery times and an optimal price/performance ratio.
