T-T Pumps - Model EL -Submersible Dredging Pump

The EL range of submersible dredging pumps will pump settled slurry, containing solids up to 125mm diameter, and concentration up to 70% by weight of the liquid. Standard submersible pumps can have a problem in handling solids that settle in the bottom of the sump or tank, and whilst all of the liquid is pumped, the normal intake velocity is insufficient to pick up solids for pumping.

On these dredging pumps, a heavy-duty agitator below the impeller disturbs the solids, creating a slurry, which is easily pumped, and at the same time keeps the pump inlet port clear of potentially blocking solids.
