Hollow fiber ultrafiltration systems are the last frontier for producing drinking water from rivers, surface waters and springs. The system was designed for municipal, private and industrial sectors. On difficult waters these systems can be used as a reverse osmosis pre-treatment. Unlike a traditional system, with gravity filters, a system with hollow fiber ultrafiltration membranes allows you to obtain:
- Permeate quality stability;
- Reduction level of SDI, Turbidity, TSS, colloids
- Increase in the useful life of osmosis membranes and energy reduction
The automatic operation of these systems via an integrated HMi operating panel simplifies maintenance operations and allows constant remote control of the machine. The system consists of an initial pre-filtration to eliminate coarse solids, the flow is then sent at low pressure to the hollow fiber ultrafiltration modules which act as an absolute barrier for particles larger than 0.01 µm.
This system avoids eliminating the minerality of the water as happens in reverse osmosis systems.
