TECModel 12x14x4 -Pressure Pan

SHARE

The Pressure Pan is a duct leakage diagnostic tool which is used along with the Blower Door and digital pressure gauge to identify exterior air leaks in forced air duct systems. It is most effective when a significant portion of the duct system is located outside the conditioned house space (e.g. attics, crawlspaces, garages). Generally, the higher the pressure pan reading, the leakier that part of the duct system is to the outside. Pressure pans do not directly measure leakage rates. Rather, a pressure pan is used to measure the pressure difference between the house and a duct run during a Blower Door test. This pressure reading can be used to estimate the degree to which a particular duct run is connected to the outside.
