Schlueter - Tee-Line & Pot Strainers

The standard strainer includes a curled tongue perforated (¼" holes) strainer welded to a sanitary clamp style cap with a stainless bar handle. The curled tongue prevents the strainer from being positioned any place except in the run of the tee.

Standard Tee Strainers have an open area in the strainer approximately the same as the pipeline it is fitted in. Partial blocking of the perforated area by large solids will not appreciably increase in pressure loss. However, if this type of strainer is specified to remove quantities of fine particulate from a product run by means of a finescreen overlay, consideration must be given to the potential pressure requirements to sustain product flow. We recommend regular Safgard Line Strainers for fine particulate straining. However, Schlueter will be pleased to quote on your special Tee Line Strainer needs upon receipt of information concerning particulate size and strainer open surface area required
