Thermotec - Model 1 Inch X 15ft -Exhaust Insulation Wrap for Heat Reduction and Efficiency
The original Exhaust Insulating Header Wrap by Thermo-Tec, developed over two decades ago, is designed to enhance horsepower and reduce temperatures under the hood. This wrap improves the scavenging of exhaust gases by maintaining hotter gases that exit the system faster due to decreased density. This results in increased exhaust scavenging and lower intake temperatures. The wrap can withstand continuous temperatures up to 2000°F and contains no asbestos. Thermo-Tec`s proprietary Thermal Conduction Technology (TCT) coating ensures that the wrap does not over-insulate when installed properly, by effectively distributing heat across the wrap`s surface to control heat build-up and dissipation.
The Thermo-Tec wrap effectively improves the scavenging of exhaust gases by the headers from the engine`s combustion chambers.
Wrapping headers maintains hotter exhaust gases that exit the system faster through decreased density. Increased exhaust scavenging is produced, along with lower intake temperatures. Exhaust Insulating Wrap withstands continuous heat up to 2000°F, and contains no asbestos.
Thermo-Tec exhaust wrap will not over-insulate a system when properly installed due to a proprietary coating developed by Thermo-Tec - Thermal Conduction Technology (TCT) - that conducts heat across the wrap`s surface. This coating controls heat build-up and dissipation.
