The TenarisHydril Wedge 463™ connection is specifically designed for production casing in unconventional wells where exceptionally high torque, gas sealability and optimum fatigue resistance are required. It combines the robust Wedge thread profile with a metal-to-metal seal whose design is taken from the extensively field proven Blue® technology. An internal shoulder provides additional over-torque capacity to handle extreme installation conditions. Tested according to Tenaris Protocol for Multi-Fractured Horizontal Wells that includes fatigue cycling before sealability evaluation and internal pressure cycles to simulate fracture cycles, it is the cutting edge of Series 400™ for exceptional performance and sealability.
