Titanium Clad Copper Bars for Electroplating
Titanium clad copper bars are a specialized type of composite material used extensively in electroplating applications. These bars feature a metallurgical bond between titanium and copper, achieved through advanced production methods like hot extrusion and explosive composite rolling. The bars are available in square, round, and flat shapes with customizable dimensions, including square sizes from 15x15 mm to 80x80 mm and round sizes starting from Φ12 mm. The key feature of these bars is the titanium layer, generally ranging from 1 mm to 3 mm in thickness, which provides exceptional corrosion resistance and mechanical strength, making them ideal for harsh electroplating environments. The production process is carefully controlled to maximize titanium's plasticity, with minimal intermediate annealing and optimized rolling to enhance quality and output.According to the requirements of customers, we can produce different specifications of round, drum, square, flat and other composite bars, titanium copper composite plates, but also for different shapes of U, S, Z bending and various shapes of group welding.

Processing technology of quality of titanium clad copper rod:
Large bonding rate and high bonding strength of titanium clad copper rod cannot be guaranteed by simple mechanical assembly or casting and filling method.GB/T12769-2003 stipulates two production methods of titanium copper cladding: hot extrusion + cold drawing method;Explosive compound + hot rolling method.
1), hot extrusion + cold drawing method: titanium casting copper → titanium copper ingot peeling → titanium steel ingot coating copper skin → hot extrusion molding → cold drawing molding → post-processing.
2) Explosive composite + hot rolling method: copper rod titanium tube assembly → drug distribution → explosive composite → hot rolling molding → cold drawing molding → subsequent processing.
Rolling process
The production of titanium-copper composite billets into titanium-copper composite rods should follow: make full use of the plasticity of titanium, minimize intermediate annealing and reduce rolling passes. Since hot rolling is a rolling process above the metal recrystallization temperature, the metal has higher plasticity and lower deformation resistance, so that a larger plastic deformation can be obtained with less energy.The total processig rate, pass processing rate and hot rolling temperature drop in the hot rolling process are the most basic deformation basis for plate and strip rolling, which directly affects product quality and rolling output.
Let me briefly talk about the distribution of pass processing rate: the first pass must first meet the problem of smooth bite. At present, the most commonly used bite angle is 20-25 degrees. When the bite angle is difficult to bite, a back thrust is often applied to the blank. During the initial rolling stage, the pass processing rate and rolling mil speed should not be too large, and the reduction should be appropriately increased pass by pass when the billet structure allows. In the middle pass, the rolling temperature is lowered, but the plasticity is better, but the resistance to denaturation is not high, so the method of large reduction should be used for rolling. The final pass generally uses a smaller pass processing rate.In order to obtain the ideal product size, a smaller compression rate should be used in the last one or two passes to obtain a flat titanium-copper composite rod.
