Tomtech - Model AS2 and AS3 -Aspirated Screens

The AS2 wet/dry screen is an aspirated psychrometer with two temperature probes, one of which has a wet sleeve. The dry probe provides the air temperature directly, the humidity is calculated by the computer from the wet and dry temperatures.

The screen contains a water bottle to keep the wick wet. The screen enclosure is fabricated from aluminium with a powder coated white finish. It has a stainless steel hook on top to allow it to be suspended at plant height.

The AS2 is supplied with a 4 metre two pair screened cable attached. It requires 12v DC power and provides two 2-10mA outputs corresponding to the temperature from the two probes. The temperature measurement range is -5C to 45C. The screen fan is also powered from the 12v supply.

The AS3 screen always has a temperature sensor and can be fitted with an HS2 electronic humidity sensor. The screen enclosure is fabricated from white powder coated aluminium and is fitted with a stainless steel hook allowing it to be suspended at plant height. An internal fan draws air across the two sensors.

The screen has internal connections to suit a two pair screened cable (Belden 8723 or equivalent is recommended). The sensor power and output requirements are as follows:

• Temperature sensor output 4-20mA
• Temperature sensor measurement range -5C to 45C.
• Temperature sensor power 12v DC
• Humidity sensor output 4-20mA
• Humidity measurement range 0-100% RH (5-95% recommended use)
• Humidity sensor power 20v DC
