The Vermeer TG9000 is designed for contractors and municipalities who demand more power and higher grinding production in their operations. Whether grinding trees and brush in a land-clearing project or large-scale processing of organic waste - the most powerful member of the Vermeer line of tub grinders will be ready.

For versatility in varying job applications, the TG9000 is available with two CAT twin-turbocharged diesel engine options: 800 hp (597 kW) and 1000 hp (746 kW). A PT Tech wet clutch with 2:1 gear reduction is controlled by a microprocessor with built-in torque limiter to help protect vital engine parts.

A Vermeer-exclusive Duplex Drum increases hammer life and production, and eases maintenance. A pin and plate configuration is also available, giving the contractor choice based on application.

Thrown Object Restraint System (TORS). The patented conical TORS has a smooth underside for increased life and better material flow while reducing the quantity and distance of thrown objects when positioned above the tub.

To allow large loads, the TG9000 unit features the largest inside tub diameter in the industry. It has an 11` (3.4 m) inside diameter and a folding 13.6` (4.1 m) flare opening.

Two CAT diesel engine options. A twin-turbocharged, electronically fuel injected engine provides either 800 hp (597 kW) or 1000 hp (746 kW) for exceptional power and fuel economy. Both engines are equipped with an extra-large cooling system, reducing the risk of overheating, even in the most demanding conditions.

PT Tech Wet Clutch. Gear reduction clutch offers high productivity with a balance of increased torque to the mill and high efficiency due to limited slippage. Designed to handle up to 1000 hp (746 kW), the clutch runs in oil to stay cooler and reduce wear.

Control panel. A centralized control station provides the operator real time performance information and full instrumentation. The control panel is also equipped with diagnostic ports for monitoring systems and troubleshooting

Fallen Object Canopy. For enhanced operator safety, the Fallen Object Canopy helps protect operators from falling debris while positioned at the control panel.

Undermill conveyor. A smooth, 60” (152 cm) belt enables high-volume product removal. To resist tear and puncture, the conveyor is constructed of .5” (1.3 cm) thick rubber belt.

Radial stacking conveyor. The rear uploading conveyor oscillates 60 degrees allowing the operator to change placement of the processed material without moving the machine. The conveyor may be equipped with an optional magnetic head pulley to help remove steel metallic materials, resulting in a more useful end product.

The patented rotor system is designed to increase production and endure high stress with fixed block-style hammers. To cover a variety of applications and preferences, two different hammermill designs are available, including the Vermeerexclusive Duplex Drum designed for easier maintenance than conventional rotors.
