TUBEdek - Lamella Clarifiers for Round Tanks
Concepts combine the advantages of parallel plate separator technology with those of round sedimentation tanks. TUBEdek lamella clarifiers present the ideal solution for round tanks which are overloaded and where there is no room for expansion. TUBEdek lamella separators increase the plant capacity by enlarging the sedimentation area considerably. Depending on the application there are different possibilities to install lamella clarifiers in round tanks.
Tangential configuration
2H TUBEdek® lamella clarifiers can be installed tangentially in a ring at the outer rim of the tank. For this configuration, the width of the ring may not exceed 3 m and the inner diameter of the tank has to be larger than 12 m.
Radial configuration
For higher sludge loads and smaller inner diameters we recommend installing the 2H TUBEdek® modules radially. This can be done by cutting the modules into segments like pieces of a cake. The form of the edge profiles allows for an installation without dead ends.
Parallel configuration
For smaller tanks the configuration which suits most is to position the 2H TUBEdek clarifiers parallel and cut the outside modules to adjust to the circular form of the tank. A simple cut out enables the installation of a centrally driven scraper.
