The Type 3 Turbidity Curtain from GEI Works is designed to provide robust sediment control in fast-moving waters and challenging conditions. This heavy duty silt barrier is crafted to meet or exceed both state DOT and federal sediment control requirements for environments such as rivers, bays, harbors, and tidal zones where water can reach speeds up to 3+ knots. Featuring options for both permeable and impermeable materials, the curtain is equipped with 8-inch or 12-inch floats and top tension cables to maintain stability even in adverse weather conditions. ASTM universal slide connector options and corner plates add to the customization capabilities. The product is available in 18 oz and 22 oz material weights, with ballast chains ranging from 5/16 inch to 3/8 inch, ensuring diverse applications from coastal construction to pile driving.
