Energy RecoveryModel LPT -Turbocharger

SHARE

The LPT turbocharger is a low-cost energy recovery solution that’s ideal for low-pressure systems. Like our AT Turbochargers, the LPT line offers high-efficiency, long-term reliability and versatility in a compact footprint. Designed for low-pressure applications such as multi-stage brackish reverse osmosis water treatment, this device handles flows from 205 to 908 m3/h (900 to 4,000 gpm) and pressures up to 45 bar (650 psi). The LPT is the ideal solution for two-stage systems where flux balancing and system optimization are desired. It can easily replace a booster pump for this service, providing equal or better performance all while requiring no electrical connections, motors, or drives.

Our high-efficiency turbochargers offer high-performing energy recovery solutions in projects with smaller budgets—especially in locations where power costs are heavily subsidized or there’s a need to mitigate upfront capital spending.

Designed to last

Every Energy Recovery turbocharger consists of a single-stage turbine impeller connected to a single-stage pump impeller via a common shaft. All hydraulics are housed within the casing, with no seals required.

Backed by expert support

Easy to maintain, our turbochargers are supported by highly qualified and seasoned technical field services professionals around the clock.

The turbine impeller absorbs the hydraulic energy of the concentrate stream and converts it into mechanical energy. This energy is then transferred to the pump impeller. The impeller converts the mechanical energy back to hydraulic energy, providing an additional pressure boost to the feed stream of brackish or seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) systems.
