What is it?
It is a water trap designed to capture the adults of absolute Tuta.
It consists of:
- The container that is a receptacle in the form of a dish. In the middle of the dish we find a support that at the top contains an anchor point for the stinger. And on one side of the plate we`ll find a lockup that is properly a siphon.
- The Tuta lid lid that contains the pheromone. It is placed above and in the center of the water sheet.
What`s the use?
The Tutatrap trap is specially designed for the massive capture of the absolute Tuta moth.
How to apply it?
We will place the Tutatrap trap above the ground or on a support a few cm from the ground (max. 30 cm). Inside the container water is deposited, we advise adding a film of soap, oil or similar on the water to increase catches.
To facilitate the maintenance of water in the trap it may be enough to introduce a micro-tube attached to the terminal of a drip, the receptacle has a brimming that keeps the water sheet at a maximum level while avoiding the loss of soap or oil.
The absolute Tuta pheromone lasts 4-6 weeks (max.45 days), so we will have to replenish them after this period. It is important at the same time to check that the filling system works properly so that traps do not run out of water.
When to apply it?
The time to place the Tutatrap trap will be during the beginning of the crop.
How many Tutatrap traps to set up?
To track the pest, if the plot is less than 1 hectare, we will use about 2-4 traps/ha.
For mass capture we will place about 20-40 traps/ha. We can reinforce areas where catches are higher with additional traps.
In the case of crops in grooves or rows, we will place one trap every 15-20 meters.
How`s it sold?
It is sold unitary and includes the Tuta Cestillo with lid.
The pheromone to be used is NOT included with the purchase of the Tutat Trap. You should buy the absolute Fer or monaTuta.

We`ll remove the Tutatrap traps at the end of the crop.
