Untreated water may contain an abundance of living organisms (coliforms). Coliforms are tasteless and invisible to the eye. Some are harmless, but some can cause serious health problems when ingested. By treating the water with Ultra Violet (UV) light, you can be assured these living organisms will not be harmful.
