US Duct - Airtight Quick-Connect Ductwork
We can provide a tighter duct option: US Tubing is a laser welded, airtight duct in a clamp connection style. If you are familiar with popular European tubing products, you`ll understand the value of a truly strong, airtight clamping connection. But because our tubing product is made right here in the USA, there are no overseas shipping delays and you can get even custom products in days — not weeks. The components (pipes, branches, elbows, etc.) are standard 20 gauge metal (galvanized, stainless steel, painted) with a range of 22 to 16 gauge available upon request. The pipe comes in standard 59" lengths which can be easily clamp-connected together to produce long runs. An optional adjustable sleeve pipe allows for field adjustments. US Tubing`s airtight ducting provides the tightness of a flange and gasket seal with the convenience of a clamp together connection system.
US Tubing’s Clamp-Connect system is modular, fully welded, securely tight and has a clamp-and-gasket joining system. Each component terminates in a Vanstone-style edge (a 5/16" turned out lip) that allows it to be joined to the next piece using a sealing gasket and high strength clamp.
The real difference is the leak-free, airtight torque-tighten clamp and full gasket system — creating the Ultimate Seal®! The end of all components is turned back at 90 degrees to the pipe (think very precise Vanstone). Unlike rolled lip duct where the gasket is in the clamp or even applied to the face of the lip, the US Tubing v-shaped gasket encompasses the entire end!
The contoured gasket is specifically manufactured to create an airtight seal between the two flat, turned-out ends of the tube and accessories when compressed by our custom clamp. The gasket fits snuggly over one of the ends at each joint. The high-strength clamp then compresses the pipe together on the gasket, providing the amazingly tight seal of the US Tubing Clamp-Connect System. Depending on your application, you can select just the right gasket and o-ring to seal your duct. Choose from:
- EPDM Conductive for special applications that require conductivity for grounding purposes
- Silicone for corrosive and high-temperature applications
- EPDM Standard Seal for dust collection, non-corrosive and mist applications
Our custom US Tubing clamp is an over-center, high strength, stainless steel channel clamp with a torque-tighten bolt. It EPDM the pipe and compresses the pipe ends together on the gasket, ensuring a leak-free system. Each handle is equipped with a safety latch to prevent accidental release.
Grounding bridge/brackets, welded to the clamp, are available for added conductivity assurance (the standard gasket is EPDM-Conductive for corrosive resistance and grounding purposes). Our grounding bracket is spot-welded to the clamp and holds two spring-loaded bolts against the metal surface of the duct to provide excellent conductivity throughout the system. NOTE: No tools or extra time needed for installation as the grounding bridge comes welded to the clamp.
The adjustable sleeve* is available to allow for easy and practical adjustments in the field where less than 5` of duct is required. Both ends of the sleeve have Vanstone edges and a diameter sized slightly larger than the connecting component to allow for adjustment by sliding the pipe inside the sleeve - once the pipe has been measured and cut to the correct length, the sleeve slides over the cut end of the pipe and is secured via an O-ring and clamp to seal the connection. Multiple gaskets are available depending on your application requirements. High temperature, food-grade, and corrosive resistant gasket options are available.
