VAB Solutions - Transverse Moisture Meter for Planers and Sawmills
The Transverse Moisture Meter, developed by VAB Solutions, is designed for integration with planers and sawmills to measure and control moisture content in wood accurately. Engineered for efficiency, its contact-free measurement system ensures no production downtime. It operates at a line speed of 200 boards per minute and consists of a control unit and sensors. The system consists of a control unit and one or more sensors. Various wood attributes can be easily programmed in product programs such as: the wood species, the dimensions, the specific weight, the admissible maximum and minimum moisture content of the wood and the appropriate corrective action to take when the moisture content is outside the limits.
