Vacuum Filters

They are used for liquid filtration at mining plants; Mining and processing industry; Glass and porcelain-faience industry. Filtration of the sediment is carried out using a porous septum. During the entire process, a layer with solid particles (sediment) accumulates on one side of the filter, and from the opposite side – a liquid (filtrate) passing through the septum. For the filtration process, it is important that the pressure of the slurry is higher than the pressure on the opposite side of the septum. These conditions are created by the physical mass of the suspension, due to its injection by means of gas pressure, and by creating vacuum conditions on the other side of the partition.
