Vacuum Pressure Tank Pump System
Vacuum Pressure Tank - pump system The Vacuum Pressure Tank is an innovative pump system, specially developed for pumping liquids/sludges with a relatively high percentage of dry solids.
The Vacuum Pressure Tank is hardly sensitive for errors and almost free of maintenance, this is due to the fact that the vacuum pump itself has no contact with the biomass at all. The pump only transfers air. With normal pumps, the biomass passes the pump house and causes wear and tear. Depending on the mixture of biomasses, one can easily pump liquids up to 25% dry solids. More dry solids usually means more energy and a more efficient digestion process
The advantages of the Vacuum Pressure Tank are:
- Pumping biomasses with a high level of dry solids
- Very high capacity
- No sensitivity for errors
- Hardly any maintenance
- Low on energy consumption
- Easy dosing of biomasses into the digester(s)
- Low pressure in the piping
- Long life time
The pump attached to the Vacuum Pressure Tank sucks out air from the tank and thus creates a vacuum within the tank. By doing so, the tank is automatically filled with biomass. Following, the pump pumps air into the tank, biomass is pressed out of the tank into the desired tank/silo/digester. An advantage of this principle is the fact that one pipe can be used for both filling and unfilling of a tank. This reduces the initial investment costs and increases your flexibility.
With the Vacuum Pressure Tank you can dose the amount of biomass much more precise in comparison to traditional pumping systems.
