ERG Hygrade - Venturi Scrubber Vessel

Venturi scrubbers are characterised by a high-velocity throat section, where gas and scrubbing liquid are brought into close contact. ERG Hygrade’s scope focuses on the fabrication of the Venturi vessel body and associated sections, manufactured to the defined geometry, materials and connection requirements specified for each project.

Vessels can be supplied with fixed or variable throat arrangements, fabricated to suit the required gas flow range and mechanical layout of the system.

Fabrication Scope and Configuration

Venturi scrubber vessels manufactured by ERG Hygrade may include:

• Integrated liquid injection nozzles and connection points
• Flanged inlet and outlet transitions

All GRP Venturi scrubbers are fabricated in accordance with BS EN 13121-3, with laminate design, materials of construction and jointing methods selected to suit the defined operating conditions.

Process design, liquid dosing strategy and system performance responsibility remain with the appointed system designer or integrator.

Built for Aggressive Industrial Duty

Venturi scrubbers often operate in chemically aggressive and abrasive environments. ERG Hygrade fabricates vessels using carefully selected GRP laminates and thermoplastics to provide resistance to corrosion, erosion and mechanical loading over long service periods.

Fabrication considerations include throat wear, access for inspection and maintenance, and compatibility with adjoining ductwork and equipment.
