Horizontal directional drills work most efficiently when they are matched with the right-sized mixing system. The MX240 quickly mixes high volumes of fluid for a variety of bores. With the power of a 25 hp/18.6 kW Kohler gas or 22 hp/16.4 kW Hatz diesel engine, the MX240 can support either a 750 gallon/2,839 L or 1,000 gallon/3,785 L tank.

The MX240 modular drilling fluid system is designed to provide fast mixing of high volumes of drilling fluid for larger-diameter and long-distance HDD applications. The system features a 25 hp (18.6 kW) Kohler gas or 22 hp (16.4 kW) Hatz diesel engine and can support either a 750 gal (2839.1 L) or 1000 gal (3785.4 L) mixing tank.
The modular design provides flexibility for a variety of mounting configurations to meet your specific needs. A new venturi design features a direct injection hose, which allows the operator to inject liquid drilling additives directly into the tank or hopper.
Choice of tanks. System supports either a 750 gal (2839.1 L) or 1000 gal (3785.4 L) tank which provides flexibility for different volume requirements.
Larger fuel tank. The MX240 is equipped with a 15 gal (56.8 L) fuel tank to provide longer operation periods in between fill-ups.
Modular design. Allows the power pack to be mounted on either end of the tank or trailer, enhancing operator accessibility to the unit.
Round plastic additive hopper. The round design with cone-shaped bottom helps prevent drilling fluid additives from collecting at the bottom of the hopper.
