Mapco - Model MW-300 -Vertical Fume Scrubber

Located in Mauldin, South Car-olina a few minutes from Greenville, is a special plant engineered specifically and solely for the designing and manufacturing of OEM locks and security products. The plat-ing operation was engineered specifically for the plating of lock parts. The 30,000 square foot department is completely computer-controlled to assure consistent high quality plating, regardless of variation in part configuration. Asmega of Padova, Italy, sup-plied several high tech automat-ed plating lines utilizing special self-exhausting hoists designed to reduce emissions in the work place. These hoists, when ap-plied in combination with the use of automatic covers, result in a significant reduction of the exhaust, air make-up and the related cost of energy. Asmega contracted with Midwest Air Products Co., Inc. of Traverse City, Michigan to supply wet scrubbers, exhaust fans, ex-haust ductwork and installation. The exhaust system design con-cept is similar to Mapco’s pa-tented PredatorTM Automated Fume Capture System.
