Vindum Engineering Valves
Vindum Engineering has recently increased the number of different types of CV (Constant Volume) valves to include valves with 1/4 inch fittings. For the past 17 years the standard CV valves were designed for 1/8` tubing. As with the older line of CV valves, the new line is available in on/off and 3-way/4-position versions. The table below shows the model numbers available with either stainless steel or Hastelloy C-276 wetted parts. The main valve seals can be Buna, Viton, Teflon, UHMW or Aflas. The choice, of course, depends on your application.
All of the new CV-4XX or CV-5XX valves are slightly larger in diameter than the CV-210 or CV-310 valves, but they operate in the same fashion. Air solenoid valves are used to open and close the valve. The amount of fluid inside the valve does not change when the valve is switched. Since the valve is air actuated using small solenoid pilot valves, the CV series is ideal for automated equipment or remote operation inside an oven.
