VobisMultiple Effect Evaporation System

SHARE

Vobis Multiple-Effect evaporators are designed and implemented to meet the client’s specific requirements and at the same time conserve energy by utilizing and reusing the energy that can be saved among the sequential stages of a production system.  We implement our systems using a combination of Falling Film and/or Forced Circulation evaporator stages with added energy efficiency provided through Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR) and Thermal Vapor Recompression (TVR) to utilize the most appropriate combination of separation technologies for the specific application.

How Our Multiple Effect Evaporators Work

Evaporation is accomplished in a series of vessels with each one held at a lower pressure than the previous. As the pressure decreases, so does the boiling point, and the vapor from one vessel is used to heat the next one. Thus, only the first vessel will require an external heat source.

  • Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC control systems are typically implemented to accurately and reproducibly control our multiple effect evaporation systems.
  • Skid mounting where appropriate allows easy installation as well as ready access to all piping, control elements, and process vessels.
