VVC - Inlet Control Valve Dampers
Continually adjust the performance of a fan with a stabilized rotational speed. Installations with a varying capacity without speed control benefit from an inlet control valve as an alternative. Discover all about the V.V.C. inlet control valve damper. The ICV inlet control valve consists of a number of discs rotating in the same direction. They can all be adjusted simultaneously form one central point. By installing the inlet control valve directly in front of the impeller of a fan, you can rotate or contrarotate the swirl.
Rotation
Rotation is mostly applied. When het disc closes, the air swirls in the same direction of rotation as the impeller. This aerodynamic control prevents stalling of the fan, resulting in a high-efficiency fan, even at lower performance.
Constructions
The V.V.C. inlet control valve dampers are available in steel, stainless steel and alloy. The valve discs of the ICV valve are available with internal as well as external bearings. All ICV valves can be equipped with pneumatic or electric actuators and positioners.
