Thomson - Model Vaplock -Waste Solvent Closed Management System
Waste solvent lines from HPLC’s and other analytical instruments should be securely connected to approved waste containers to minimize spills and leaks of solvents and reduce vapor emissions by using Vaplock Waste Containment Kits.

Specially designed waste manifolds and special fittings capture the effluent from LC’s and other analytical instruments.
Vapors escaping from waste containers are captured with a high surface area activated charcoal filter.
Manifolds are available for a wide selection of approved waste containers. All disconnect easily from the container without twisting lines. This allows full containers to be conveniently changed without spilling waste solvent.
Organic solvents are expensive and once used, to dispose of. Many procedures allow the capture and reuse of analysis solvents. Our Recycling System isolates pure solvent, uncontaminated with solute, and reuses it.
If your methodology is isocratic, Smart Recycling saves time, expensive solvents and disposal costs. If the analytical methodology uses gradients, those solvents must be captured securely and properly for approved disposal.

Special bottle caps, with an integral check valve, prevent solvent vapor from escaping from reservoirs but allow air to enter the bottle for pressure equilibration.
The check valve itself is protected by a filter barrier which also prevents particulates from contaminating your mobile phase.
Color Coded cap kits easily identify your mobile phases.
Solvent vapors, exiting from waste containers, are trapped on the highest capacity charcoal filter available.
A special color indicator tells when the filter needs to be changed. And its response is uniform over a range of organic solvents.

We make waste solvent management easy. Using a waste container of your choice, we have put together kits that will capture waste effluent from most LC’s. Especially Agilent 1100 & 1200’s and Waters’ Alliance or Acuity.
If other comonents are needed, we can provide those as well for a complete solution. We offer a variety of manifolds that fit almost any container you chose.
007-1341: Universal waste solvent collection kit including Multi-Port manifold, hard and soft walled tube connections and line extensions. This kit requires a Justrite container with female PP quick disconnects. Many other kits for other waste containers are available.
