Natures Ore - Wastewater Treatment System
Natures Ore is a 400 micron heavy metal removal media designed, and installed into treatment columns. Once loaded Natures Ore can be regenerated with an extremely dilute acid solution and returned to service. Regenerate solutions with metals, for example copper, at thousands of parts per million (ppm) can be filtered. The treated water can be used in multiple areas, for example, systems in the past have used the treated water to irrigate the lawns of the commercial site or have used the water on a closed looped system reducing the water usage dramatically.
For most applications the treatment is done using a four foot bed of Nature’s Ore, giving the most effective removal rate, but is dependent upon flow rate and influent levels. The media is a compound that coordinates selectively with other compounds, and retains those other compounds, at selected conditions. Natures Ore retains heavy metal compounds at mild acidic or base conditions, and releases them when treated with a dilute acid solution.
