ViewPointModel ToxMate -Water Quality Biomonitoring

SHARE

ToxMate, developed by ViewPoint, is a station made to continuously detect the impact of micropollutants in the water of urban and industrial treatment plants, or drinking stations. Tested and proven in WWTPs, its ease of use and autonomy make ToxMate an optimal solution for real-time water quality monitoring

Most popular related searches

ToxMate measures the impact of the presence of chemical pollutants on living organisms. The three species of aquatic invertebrates in the station react to a wide variety of toxic substances and constitute reliable and efficient bioindicators of the level of water pollution.  The tests carried out on site have demonstrated the sensitivity of ToxMate to cocktail and recombination effects, where physico-chemical sensors only target a small part of the molecules present in the water.

Continuous real-time monitoring

A continuous flow of water, previously treated by the sewage treatment plant, is diverted to feed a ToxMate conditioning module, before coming into contact with the biological organisms. Monitoring is carried out in real time, 24 hours a day.

Instant alerts

Alerts are triggered when reactions of the organisms to a toxic effect of the water are detected. These are linked to the findings of micropollutants, drugs or a cocktail effect of different chemicals. ToxMate alerts are instantaneous and considered to be the most effective in the biomonitoring station market, enabling reactive management of peaks in toxicity.

Simplicity and reliability

ToxMate comes with an easy-to-use online interface that generates alerts when setup predefined toxicity thresholds are exceeded. The user does not have to intervene or manipulate the equipment.  No special skills are required. Installation and maintenance are performed entirely by ViewPoint.
