Lubron - Model Softstar Classic -Water Softeners
Tap water is used in every home and business for many purposes where the removal of unwanted substances from the tap water is often desirable. To prevent the most common problems due to the presence of hardness of the water, softening by means of the principle of ion exchange remains the most reliable solution. The benefits of softened water are numerous, such as extended life time of boilers, no heat losses caused by limescale in heating systems and savings on unexpected, time-consuming maintenance, often with harsh detergents. The Lubron range of softeners is equipped with food grade softener resin, making them suitable for consumer applications. The SOFTSTAR CLASSIC is suitable for small water consumers such as dishwashers and coffee machines and is suitable for a maximum capacity of 350 litres/hour.
The SOFTSTAR CLASSIC houses both the resin tank and the salt container in a small, single plastic cabinet. The softener is controlled by means of a resin tank-mounted patented control valve and includes an integrated valve to allow the required setting of residual hardness to be made. The regeneration of these water softeners is time based, with a 7 or 12-day disc available on the control valve. Available options are:
- Bypass valve to allow isolation of the softener without stopping the flow of water to service. Particle filter in the supply line to the water softener for added protection against dirt accumulation in the resin core.
- Double check valve for preventing contamination of drinking water caused by reverse flow.
- SALTO brine alarm to monitor the brine concentration in the salt container.
