Water Well Casing Indicator Probe
The Heron Well Casing Indicator Probe is used for measuring the depth of metal casing in wells and boreholes from 2” diameter and greater. The Heron Well Casing Indicator Probe is a necessary tool when decommissioning wells, installing packers and registering wells with water authorities. An audible and visual signal indicates when the metal casing starts and ends in your well or borehole. The Heron Well Casing Indicator Probe is an invaluable upgrade on your Heron water level indicator. Each unit that includes a Well Casing Indicator Probe will be supplied with an interchangeable water level probe. Important: Well Casing Indicator Probes must be ordered at the same time as your Heron dipper-T or Water Tape.
The Heron Well Casing Indicator Probe is stainless steel and contains no electronic circuitry. While the probe is in the magnetic field of the steel casing an audible and visual signal is active. When the probe leaves the magnetic field, the signal stops. The instrument is simple to use, casing depths are measured directly from the tape. The probe is 3/4” (1.9cm) diameter x 9” long (1.9cm x 23cm) and weights 8 oz (226 gm). The magnetic field is detected by a 3/8” diameter x 1/4” long (0.95cm x 0.635cm) 40 Gauss Neodymium magnet with power supplied via a 9v battery in the reel.

The Well Casing Indicator probe is an interchangeable probe that can be fitted to the dipper-T or Water Tape water level meter. This probe must be specified at the time the water level meter is ordered. The probe cannot be retrofitted.
