Morcom - Model JPSS -Weather Satellite Receiving System

The JPSS Earth Station is a satellite acquisition and processing system for real-time reception and display of the new NOAA JPSS polar orbiting satellites. Launched in late 2017, JPSS-1 has officially become NOAA-20, the first in a series of new environmental polar-orbiting satellites. The JPSS sensors  measure atmospheric, terrestrial, and oceanic conditions, including: sea and land surface temperatures, vegetation, clouds, water vapor, rainfall, snow and ice cover, fire locations, smoke plumes, volcanic ash, and gas. The Morcom ground receiving system is PC-based and operates in a user-interactive environment. In addition to a PC workstation, the system includes a fully automatic tracking antenna, ingest, and processing software.
