EFS HydraScreen - Wedge-Wire Screening Systems
HydraScreen is a versatile, high capacity, hillside screening technology that efficiently separates solids from liquids in industrial, municipal, and commercial applications. Hillside screens may be retrofitted to existing structures or outfitted as original equipment. There are no moving parts, and solids propel automatically down static screens after being separated from the liquid; as a result, with HydraScreen, there is virtually no maintenance. Solids can be separated down to 75-micron -- alternative screen designs allow capacities in excess of 250 gpm/sq ft.
HydraScreen is used in industry to reclaim liquids and solids on processes or for prescreening raw influent water. Municipal drinking water systems use HydraScreen diversions for pretreatment on open channel water sources; wastewater systems use HydraScreens for grit removal on headworks. HydraScreen diversions are also used on water sources feeding commercial irrigation systems for golf courses and agricultural farming. With the versatile HydraScreen design, applications are wide-ranging.
