Lodge Cottrell - Wet Type Electrostatic Precipitators

Wet Electrostatic Precipitators (WESPs) are used to remove dust particles or other undesirable materials (usually aerosols of non-volatile compounds) from fuel or syngas streams and Lodge Cottrell have supplied several hundreds of such systems throughout the world.

Typically WESPs are found at steelworks where they are used to remove dust from combustible gases and tar from coking plants. Currently there is a growing demand for WESPs to clean syngas produced in waste-to-energy/energy-from-waste plants using gasification processes.
