Various types of rake cleaning systems each perfectly adapted to the given conditions, are used depending on the operational area.

The floating debris is removed either by a rinsing channel or a custom-made conveyor belt.

The positions of the trash rack cleaner are memorized and stored in incorporated the controller. The provided controller allows an automatically as well as a manual operation on site. As an option, a remote control of the moving and swiveling drives by cable is available. The cleaning cycle is started by a potential-free input. Operating and fault messages are signaled by a signal tower. 

An integration of external safety devices such as fences or external emergencystop devices is provided.

• Telescopic trash rack cleaners

Telescopic trash rack cleaners are the preferred choice for use in power plants where there is limited space. These trash rack cleaning machines are available not only as a stationary design, but also in mobile and swivelling versions.

Horizontal trash rack cleaners are used in strainer racks with horizontal grille bars. All year round fine flotsam and heavy floating debris are removed fully automatically from the trash rack areas.

Horizontal trash rack cleaners are driven purely electro mechanically and thus the environment is not polluted with possible losses of hydraulic fluid. The lubricating greases used are bio-degradable and comply with the laws on emission control for water.

• Articulated trash rack cleaners

Articulated trash rack cleaners are preferred for heavy operation in relatively large plant, since they remove bulky floating debris from the trash rack areas. The radius of action of the swivelling, mobile articulated trash rack cleaner makes it possible to transport the bulky goods transversely.

Articulated trash rack cleaners are driven purely by hydraulics. The hydraulic fluids and lubricating greases used are bio-degradable and comply with the laws on emission control for water.

• Chain trash rack cleaners

Chain trash rack cleaners are principally used in plants with restrictions on space and light-weight flotsam. The main advantage of this type is that their total height is not great. One or more chain-driven lateral rakes remove the washed up material.
The angle of the rake may vary.
The disadvantage of the chain trash rack cleaner is that moving components are constantly in the water.
