LoRaWAN Wireless Sensors Require the Following:
- LoRaWAN gateway (available from Sensocon and 3rd parties) - one gateway is typically capable of handling thousands of sensors within range. Sensocon pre-provisions gateways to plug-and-play status, saving setup time for the user.
- Internet connection (aka "backhaul") - can be simple ethernet, wireless or cellular connection, connecting the gateway to the internet.
- Platform (available from Sensocon, 3rd parties and DIY "Chirpstack") - provides device management, data visualization, alert setup, etc. Typically this is a subscription model based on the number of sensors using the platform. See "Sensograf" for more information on Sensocon`s platform.
