The wrap reel can be used to assess the thread density of yarns, fibre filaments, etc. It can also be used to do specimen preparation for yarn strength and is widely used in central laboratories of textile enterprises, testing institutes, quality control, and law enforcement units and research institutes.

The wrap reel gives the length of one loop for every loop of yarn wound, therefore the yarn tension affects the length of the winding, the more loops the greater the difference in accumulated length. The TESTEX wrap reel starts and stops smoothly without additional tension shocks, which effectively avoids the phenomenon of rushing laps. In addition, it has low operating noise, accurate lap counting, and good reliability with a low failure rate.
