MSort - Model AQ -X-Ray Sorting System

A further development from Mogensen is a X–ray system for the differentiation of refractory glass, ceramic, and normal glasses in glass recycling. Using this technology also opens up new applications in the mineral grading and in many further project definitions. In this grading sorting system, the absorbency of the X-rays through two measurement channels in different wave ranges is measured. Through mathematical composition of the measurement values, the material thickness can be calculated. Thus, as a grading criterion, an average atomic density is available, independent of the particle size, particle shape, unit weight, color of the surface or impurities.
