Xingyuan with many different type of shell based activated carbon like apricot shell activated carbon and coconut shell activated carbon. Shell based activated carbon is a carbonaceous, highly porous adsorptive medium that has a complex structure composed primarily of carbon atoms. The networks of pores in activated carbons are channels created within a rigid skeleton of disordered layers of carbon atoms, linked together by chemical bonds, stacked unevenly, creating a highly porous structure of nooks, crannies, cracks and crevices between the carbon layers.
From 1990, Charcoal as Xingyuan Group first business, now already almost 30 years history, from 1997, Xingyuan begin to produce activated carbon as development for charcoal, now Xingyuan have carbonizing furnace 4set, Activation Rotary Kiln 6 set, and Upright Kiln 3 set, factory take land more than 70000square meter, yearly capacity for activated carbon more than 6000tons, become the first top three in North China carbon active enterprise.
Beginning from 2008, Xingyuan begin import coconut shell charcoal raw material from Indonesia, Philippine, Vietnam etc. south east countries, import wood charcoal from South Africa countries, keep the good relationship with suppliers till to now.

Shell based activated carbons are manufactured from coconut shell, olive pits, apricot shell, peach shell,palm shell,date kernels and various carbonaceous specialty materials. High Temperature Steam Activation mechanisms are used in the production of activated carbons from these raw materials.
The intrinsic pore network in the lattice structure of activated carbons allows the removal of impurities from gaseous and liquid media through a mechanism referred to as adsorption. This is the key to the performance of activated carbon.
The very large internal surface areas characterized by microporosity along with high hardness and low dust make these coconut shell carbons particularly attractive for water and critical air applications as well as point-of-use water filters and respirators.
