Working Principle: Lamellae are typically thin plates placed at a 60° angle. With this configuration, the horizontal flow of water is directed upward along the inclined surfaces of the lamellae. During this process, suspended solids in the water collide with the lamella surfaces and settle rapidly. This reduces the settling time and increases the system`s hydraulic capacity.
