Ygros - Model EDF 3-A -Springless Hygienic Check Valve
The EDF 3-A valve by Ygros is an innovative springless check valve engineered for hygienic applications, particularly tailored for the US market and certified by the 3-A Institute. This advanced valve eliminates the need for traditional springs with a patented magnetic system, ensuring maximum hygiene and zero maintenance. It guarantees tightness in all installation positions, including vertical downward flows. Suitable for a range of fluids and steam, it withstands temperatures up to 220°C, making it ideal for pharmaceutical, chemical, cosmetics, and food & beverage industries. The valve`s construction includes stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316L) body and flanges, and a Duplex 1.4410 (F53) shutter. Non-product contact materials feature neodymium magnets, with seals optionally made from EPDM, VMQ (Silicone), or FKM (Viton).
Surface finishes range from standard Ra µm ≤ 0.8 to electropolished and passivated options up to Ra µm ≤ 0.4. It supports various end connections, including DIN 11850/ASME BPE welding and ASME BPE Tri-Clamp. Operating within a temperature range of -40°C to +150°C (standard) and up to +220°C (optional) with a standard operating pressure of PN16, the EDF 3-A valve is expertly designed for liquid, gas, and steam media, with complete traceability and optional certifications including EN10204:2005 – 3.1, FDA, 3-A, ATEX, PED, and EC 1935/2004.
