Zetas - Bag Filters
Bag filters are used in many industries where filtration is less critical and bags can be easily discarded. Bag filters are used in the natural gas processing industry for amines and glycols and for the treatment of waste water. Water or brine produced from shale gas production is usually treated with bag filters before reuse.additional crushing, pumping into the well in waste wells or sending to a central waste treatment facility. High temperature bags used in gas service (often referred to as bags) are not covered here because they are mainly for emission control for hot gases used in many other industries and are outside the scope of natural gas processing.
Bag filters are made in the form of a bag with an outflow to capture the contaminants inside the bag. Typically, they are supported by a coarse mesh basket in a filter pan to provide structural support. They have handles for easy disposal and can be made of many materials, including polypropylene, polyester, nylon and fluoropolymers. Material forms can be needle felt, non-woven, meltblown fiber, spunbond web and composite materials. bag filterformats include mesh, single-layer, multi-layer, graduated mesh, and pleated types. Lift ratings range from 1 to 1200 um. Conventional bag filters are sewn together and this can affect their absolute particle removal holding ability. To overcome this limitation, seamless bag filters have been developed and are typically made using thermoplastics such as polypropylene, polyester or nylon.
