Air Quality Management Services
Air Quality Dispersion Modeling; Calvin Consulting air quality dispersion meteorologists and modellers have extensive experience in this area. In total, three of our five Principal Consultants have more than 125 years of experience as dispersion modellers. As well as performing dispersion modelling for our clients, we have also been hired to train personnel from Alberta Environment and Public Areas (AEPA), Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) and Environment Canada.Various environmental regulatory bodies in Alberta and British Columbia require that registrations, licenses, and/or approvals be updated prior to any equipment or operational changes. Permits may also be required for new industrial facilities.
We at Calvin Consulting have extensive experience in developing air quality dispersion models, preparing regulatory applications, and guiding these permit applications through the approval process, especially in the areas of Alberta Environment and Public Areas (AEPA), Alberta Energy Regulator (AER), Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) and British Columbia Oil & Gas Commission (B.C. OGC). We have an experienced staff that is well known and respected by these regulatory agencies and who understand the regulatory requirements for all types of industrial facilities.
All applicable facilities are required to have Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and Air Monitoring Directive (AMD) Quality Assurance Plans. Since 2007, Calvin Consulting has written several hundreds of these plans. It has been noted by AEPA Auditors on more than one occasion that all plans are written with the intention of being useful "how-to" manuals for facility operators.
Calvin Consulting has extensive experience preparing climate summaries for Environmental Impact Assessments and for Canadian design companies operating internationally.
