Oil & Moisture Results
Where applicable oil & moisture results are gained by taking an approx. 1 kilo sample of wet material weighing it accurately on Mettler scales then drying off the sample, once dry the sample is weighed again on the Mettler scales and the difference calculated e.g 1000 grams wet sample, dried and re-weighed at 850grammes equals an Oil & Moisture percentage of 15%

Cable Analysis
The copper content is tested by taking a short length of cable, weighing the sample accurately on Mettler scales then stripping the cable down to bare copper/Aluminium etc. The contamination is weighed back and the difference between the original weight and the contamination gives the copper and/or Aluminium percentage, uniform cable is then quoted on this analysis.

Full loads will go for cable stripping and granulation. The consignment is analysed and the deleterious contamination from the plastic and steel weighed back to ascertain the copper percentage by which the load is paid.

Nickel-Chrome Swarf Analysis
Where higher nickel-chrome grades are mixed with lower grades we will analyse the Nickel content of the load by taking a sample through the whole load and analyse the content to gain the Nickel, Molybdenum, Chrome contents etc. We will then base our pricing on these results so that the maximum return is achieved.
