Analytical Services
Throughout its 40 year history, the Analytical Services Group of Specialty Minerals Inc. (ASG) has provided analytical and investigative services to SMI, Minteq and the Pyrogenics Research, Sales, Marketing, and Quality Assurance departments. The Group functions as both a service organization and a research facility engaged in developing new and improved analytical methods.
Services Overview
The Analytical Services Group is accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) to comply with ISO/IEC 17025-2005. The services are problem solving as well as solely analytical. We strongly recommend that the analysis objective, problem to be solved, or question to be answered be discussed and reviewed with ASG prior to sample submission. This discussion will guide the selection of appropriate methods, sampling techniques and control samples.
Accreditation Credentials
ASG is accredited in accordance with the recognized International Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005. This accreditation demonstrates technical competence for a defined scope and the operation of a laboratory quality management system. The management system requirements in ISO/IEC 17025:2005 (Section 4) are written in language relevant to laboratory operations and meet the principals of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems - Requirements and are aligned with it’s pertinent requirements.
